Today, the majority of cleaning services operate in crews. But, for most seniors, it can be very disorienting to have “groups of cleaners” speed-cleaning through their personal space. It can lead to feelings of confusion, neglect, and sometimes even mistrust.

The Custom Maids approach is different. Our senior clients are set up with one qualified cleaning lady with whom they can establish a relationship. And, once they are comfortable with a particular cleaner, we like to send that same cleaner back each time.

Some of our senior clients have their cleaner visit on a regular ongoing basis – weekly, bi-weekly or monthly – while others have cleaning service just occasionally on an as-needed basis.
But, in either case, our senior clients have their own cleaning lady – someone they are familiar with and who understands their needs
We Have the Right People
Our Cleaning Service Staff is comprised largely of traditional cleaning ladies who have had many years of cleaning experience prior to joining Custom Maids, and have been in positions of trust for most of their lives.

Some of our home cleaners have been with us 2 or 3 years ; some have been with us 10 or 15 years ; others have been with us for 20, 30, even 40 years. The maturity of our Cleaning Service and staff make us ideally suited to serve the needs of senior clients.
Our Senior Clients Are Well Protected
As all of our Cleaning Service Staff are employees of Custom Maids, we assume full responsibility for any cleaning lady assigned to a home.

All Cleaning Service Staff have undergone extensive training and background checks. They are fully bonded; covered by Worker’s Compensation (in the event of injury); and covered by Comprehensive Liability Insurance (in the event of damage). Our seniors clients are protected from exposure of every kind.

Many of our senior clients are set up and managed by an adult child or family member. We are happy to work directly with whoever is most comfortable handling the arrangement, whether that is the senior themselves, a son or daughter, or another caregiver.

Not necessarily. If the family prefers, secure access can be arranged so the cleaner can work while the client is out. The arrangement can be tailored to whatever is most comfortable for the senior and their family.
